I finally finished knitting the spiral scarf.
Pattern: Lace Spiral Scarf by Gail Owens from 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders
Yarn: 2 skeins of Louisa Harding La Salute
And started knitting Elisa's Nest Tote, but already made few mistakes in the first few rows and will have to re-do everything.

Pretty :-)
Although not as pretty as my jewellery ;-)
The scarf is very striking. Nice.
The scarf is fabulous, and I love the jewellery in the previous post. You are making me feel guilty about the tin of jewellery making tools I've got stashed it the closet. I must dig them out!
I was just wondering if you found errors in this? I'm new to short rows and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to start this pattern with only casting on 10 stitches...
No, there aren't any errors. It helps to separate the edge lace stitches with a stitch marker. Once you yo twice on the first row you'll have 12 stitches.
If you are on Ravelry, check out Beetsie's explanation (I found it helpful) http://www.ravelry.com/projects/beetsie/lace-spiral-scarf
Here is part of it:
remember the slipped stitch IS the wrapped stitch - something that’s not at all clear from the pattern (especially if you follow the book’s instructions for making wrapped stitches which causes you to count a stitch twice).
Thanks...I'm not on ravelry but that really helped to clear it up. I was playing with it a bit too and figured out that when it says K1, yo twice, K1, that I actually have to not count the knit at the end of the YO as part of the yarn over, but that it is instead its own stitch which has not been the case in other books I have used before. Strange pattern but now that I'm getting through it I really love it. Thanks so much for clearing up the slip stitch problem for me!!!
Hello!
Could you, please help me with this scarf pattern? I've tried knitting it and can't figure out how to do the WT at the end of rows, and Slip 1 at the beginning. I'm trying to knit this scarf for my daughter's teacher, and am at a loss currently. If you can help, please e-mail to me at sashasen@insight.rr.com
