Belated quote of the week

Be thankful that there are plates to be washed; that means there was food, that you fed someone, that you’ve lavished care on one or more people, that you cooked and laid the table. Imagine the millions of people at this moment who have absolutely nothing to wash up and no one for whom to lay the table.
Paulo Coelho The Witch of Portobello.

That's a great quote. My favorite chore to do is to pick up the boy's toys and clothes. Especially his little shoes - the remind me that there is someone here to be very grateful for.

That's very D&M cousin... very serious. One could turn that around and say "be thankful for washing up after me, 'cos you have someone to take care of" ;P PS: do you have that book?

I love that. My mother used to have a quote something like that on her bulletin board in the kitchen all the while I was growing up.
